The Vern and Aileen Kohler Dementia Program Making Connections through Music

Thanks to the Kohler family for their generous donation, we are very excited to introduce The Vern and Aileen Kohler Dementia Program!

This program is designed to provide programming to individuals that reside in a facility and are unable to attend group programs due to cognitive and physical  challenges.  Our trained artists visit the facility and provide music to these individuals one to one or in a small group.

“My mom recently passed away after a difficult battle with dementia. One of the few ways we could connect with her at the end was through music. We decided to honor her by donating to an agency in the Cincinnati area that brought the gift of music to older people in retirement and assisted living. The Greater Cincinnati Foundation recommended Creative Aging to us and after meeting Bev and the board, we were happy to support their wonderful mission.”
