Artist Bio: April began practicing yoga at the age of 45. She has studied Iyengar, Hatha, Kundalini, Chair Yoga, Let Your Yoga Dance and Yoga for Kids. April has worked in the healthcare field for the past 43 years as an LPN, specializing in geriatric care. She is also a certified yoga instructor with 300+ hours of training. April promotes health and wellness through the practice of yoga as therapy, hoping to demonstrate to people of all ages, and with various physical limitations, that yoga movement, breathwork and meditation can improve health as well as reverse the aging process.
Program Description: April’s class begins with seated breathwork, meditation/grounding and continues with warm ups, stretching, postures & balance, and ends with final relaxation. Also a professional singer, April sings Kirtan, the call and response chanting that opens the heart to peace and joy. She believes “You’re never too old to begin your practice!”
