Artist Bio:  Vocalist/guitarist Jim Kelly, a veteran of the Midwest music scene for decades, has put together a solo act, for retirement and senior living facilities.   His years of playing oldies with Ooh La La and the Greasers, positions him in the era where your residents will feel right at home.  This show features songs from the Vintage Early Rock & Roll period of 1956 through 1964.   Artists like Buddy Holly, Elvis, The Coasters, Sam Cooke, Chuck Berry, The Everly Brothers and many more.   Not only will these songs get your residents tapping their toes, but singing along with such hits as Roger Miller’s “King of the Road’, or Jimmy Dean’s, “Big Bad John”, and other songs as well.  Jim opened shows for legendary 50’s and 60’s acts, such as Jerry Lee Lewis, Ray Charles, Chuck Berry, Brenda Lee, Jan & Dean, Freddy Cannon and many more.

Kelly, who also is the Radio Color Analyst for the University of Cincinnati Football Bearcats, had played in bands since his wide receiver days at UC in the mid 1970’s.  As lead guitarist, and vocalist for over 28 years for Ooh La La and the Greasers, Kelly also performed in several different duos and trios.
